Anticollision Systems

More than ever before, multi-crane work sites with interference areas require systems capable of managing all safety constraints. The new AC3 anticollision system manages the safety of multi-crane work sites to guarantee optimum safety in the real time management of crane movements.

Faced with the growing complexity of work site management, open systems are now required which can integrate specific items: -multi-crane configuration, temporary prohibited zones, concrete masts, mobile cranes, wind force, load weight, etc.

AC3 is a powerful computer system designed to manage interference areas and prohibited flyover zones for all site configurations and all types of tower crane.

AC3 System Module

MODULE 1 :
configurable crane anticollision management (GACP) Jib/jib, jib/counter-jib, higher crane jib on lower crane mast, lower crane jib on higher crane mast. 9 combinable external commands, including hook height configurable by apprenticeship, to activate and deactivate the interference management.

MODULE 2 :
- areas prohibited by configurable segments (ZISP)
- Multi-segment prohibited areas with apprenticeship using a system of points. Fast and accurate zone definition. Total of 32 segments to create multishape (broken line, straight line, concave, convex) prohibited flyover zones.

MODULE 3 :
- deactivation of areas prohibited by configurable segments (DZISP) 9 combinable external commands to activate and deactivate prohibited areas. This module can be combined with the ZISP module.

MODULE 4 :
- deactivation of areas prohibited by hook height (DZIH) The hook height, configurable by apprenticeship, is used to activate and deactivate prohibited areas. This module can be combined with the DZISP module.

Ground configuration
  • -Prohibited area system, apprenticeship by points
  • -Universal encoder with proprietary solutions for orientation and distribution

ANEMOMETER

In view of  the need and obligation to monitor the wind speed to avoid all possible risks of danger for the crane stability, an accurate indicator system is required.
The new AN3 anemometer provides permanent wind speed monitoring and communicates the critical thresholds to all site personnel via visual and audible signals.

DIGITAL SENSOR of original design made from synthetic material, unbreakable dish machined from a solid block.

DISPLAY
Includes the basic features:
  • Real-time display of wind speed in km/h on LCD screen
  • LED indicators and/or buzzer when critical thresholds have been exceeded

External alarm signalling kit :
Red and orange xenon flashing lights
115 dB waterproof siren

Additional functions available:
Data transfer via RS485 and RS232 ports and analogue output for wireless or wire link to:
A repeater
A repeater-recorder
Probe guaranteed for life (on exchange)
Reliability and accuracy of digital technology
Ergonomy
Small size
Quick and easy installation

ELEVATED OBSTRUCTION LIGHTING

The presence of crane obstacles represents a permanent and serious hazard for air navigation. The new SF3 elevated obstruction lighting system, specifically designed for cranes, ensures that fixed or travelling cranes are visible when in situations likely to generate risks of collision, near aerodromes or heliports.

Standard obstruction lighting for tower cranes on work sites consists of three red obstruction lights designed for installation at the ends of the crane: on the jib, the counter-jib and the tower head (in compliance with ICAO guidelines) and an electrical cabinet with a 100-hour energy reserve.

ELECTRICAL CABINET

Principles :
Permanent type electrical cabinet in on-line mode.
Composed of 2 x 80 Ah sealed stationary batteries and a charging system.
Automatic bypass system in case of electrical cabinet fault.
High power LED with 100 000-hour lifetime
Obstruction light meeting ICAO specifications requiring minimum red light intensity of 10 CD in the operation directions.

The equipment comes complete with lamp / electrical cabinet connection cables, as well as attachment parts and brackets specific to the crane :

  • Small size
  • Ergonomic
  • Fast installation
  • LED lamp guaranteed for life (on exchange)
  • Multivoltage lamp: 24 VDC, 24 VAC, 230 VA

CAMERA ASSISTED OPERATION

In environments with no direct visibility, the crane operator must be able to see all the blind spots in order to manoeuvre the crane in complete safety.

The new VG3 wireless video system with camera fitted on the mobile carriage and control screen installed in the cab offers full visibility over the work site, enabling the crane operator to manoeuvre in complete safety.

An additional camera installed near the hoisting winch eliminates the risk of incorrect winding.
